Frequently Asked Questions
Why sign my child up for day camp?
Day Camp is great for campers who are seeking a summer camp experience but are not quite ready or interested in our full residential camp. Camp Tekakwitha offers teambuilding, fun, and great community-building in a faith-filled environment.
How is this different than residential camp?
Day Camp gives us the special opportunity to bring the Camp experience to YOU (right in your communities)! Day Camp sessions will be hosted in various Diocesan schools and will include camp programming unique to the day camp experience. We won't be on the shores of Loon Lake, but we are excited to branch out across the Diocese of Green Bay to welcome more families into our Camp Tekakwitha community. Come join us!
Who can attend Day Camp?
Day Camp will serve campers ages 5-10. We have limited spots available each week, so we encourage early registration if interested!
Do we have to attend the host parish in order to attend that day camp session?
No! Anyone is welcome to attend any of the day camp sessions! Our parishes are generously hosting day camp in their facilities and will be extending the invitation to their school and parish families -- but other families within the community (and neighboring communities) are welcome as well!
What does the week look like?
The week will begin with a family event on Sunday evening to come together, play games, and meet the day camp staff! Monday through Thursday will run from 8 AM to 4 PM each day and will be filled to the brim with unique day camp programming.
What is included in fees for the week?
The registration fee for the week includes daily snacks, a Camp t-shirt, and all the programming fun we could ever have!
Can my child attend both residential and day camp?
Yes!
